As a result of this program, elementary and high school students will benefit from visual and writing residencies to create and share their feelings with each other and the community. Evaluation will occur through student and teacher questionnaire, audience and student reactions and follow up conferences with the residency planners.
The residencies were evaluated by student and teacher feedback. The writing residencies were well received and vast amounts of writing happened. The sculpture residency happened right before COVID. Students and their teacher had a very positive experience and due to the closing of school creations were sent home with students. Art in the elementary visual residency is ongoing. Students will continue to create even though distance learning.
