As a result of this project, Marshall County resides have a new awareness of Barber Shop music. It was well received and there was a positive interaction with the audience and performers. The evaluation will occur through a quick survey of event and through a follow-up meeting of the Marshall County Historical Society board of directors.
Through our survey, we found that the attendance was slightly down from previous years. However those that were there were happy with the entertainment. Some in attendance had never experienced Barbershop music and found it enjoyable. Through observation, the interaction between the performers and the audience was well received and positive. The audience at Grinding Day enjoyed an afternoon of new musical experience with friends and neighbors.
