Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

LSYC's Honor Choir goal is two-fold: to increase enrollment into LSYC programs and more broadly, to provide a positive, enriching experience for local choir students?with the hope of increasing their interest and passion in musical arts, regardless of if they decide to audition for LSYC. In its multi-year history, Honor Choir has already shown progress toward these goals, which are evidenced by an increase in area music teacher promotion of LSYC programming and the subsequent rise in auditions and enrollment into LSYC programs. The measure-able outcomes include: an increased number of enrollments and increased number of regional music teacher engagement and overall positive feedback about the event and its subsequent impact on individual school choir culture. We will measure the outcomes by tracking enrollment numbers from previous years to this year, specifically following the conclusion of the event. We will also make a record of any increase of expressed interest in LSYC by local choir teachers and if the event improved and/or encouraged their students' involvement in choir. A longer term measurement of success will be potential growth or resurgence of choral programs at local schools, where students who previously attended Honor Choir/developed a passion for choir are numerous enough to support added class sections and/or choir electives at local schools.
