The Bakken Trio will collaborate with Z Puppets Rosenschnoz in From the Monkey Mountains listening parties and performance at the East Side Freedom Library for people ages ten and up, to make new connections to classical music through visual art and puppetry.

BT/ZPR Project team refines evaluation tools developed in their 2019 pilot project: Participants share verbal and written responses about new connections they make to classical music, from which the team extracts qualitative and quantitative data.
60% of participants of our Listening Sessions at East Side Freedom Library reported making a new connection with classical music at the event. Participants shared verbal and written responses with organization leaders onsite, which were collated and discussed after each event to extract qualitative and quantitative results. 2: Minnesotans developed expanded their knowledge about an artistic discipline. Through this collaboration for Minnesota audiences, participants expressed the new information learned about music history and newfound knowledge about puppetry. Evaluation methods included surveys completed onsite during each listening session.
