Twenty-five aspiring and more experienced writers work with five teaching artists to build skills, appreciate diversity of genres, learn how to edit own and other. In twelve workshop series: Session 1 essay-learning expectations; Session 7 essay-what's working, what's not, recommendations; Session 12 essay-what was learned, what worked, what did not work. Final wrap up with teaching artists and project manager.
Twenty aspiring and more experienced writers worked with five teaching artists to build skills, appreciate diversity of genres, learn how to edit. Three evaluation essays were assigned to the group: #1 - what are your learning expectation; #2 mid way - what's working, what's not; #3 final - final comments. Also group discussion and one-on-ones with teaching artists as requested.
