Project Details

Water stewardship will serve as a springboard for an integrated eco arts residency in five schools. Students work with two artists, a poet and musician team to create a river tapestry-puppet-poetry-soundscape installation and showcase artwork at a public event.

Participants increase their knowledge and skills in visual arts, including instrument making, and poetry inspired by the science of water quality. This outcome is evaluated through quantitative and qualitative assessment, informal observation, and the use of critical response/reflective protocol processes. 2: Through quality arts experiences and environmental resources, participants gain strategies for taking action on behalf of clean, healthy water.
