100% of participants will embody contemporary Afro-Brazilian dance movement and be able to describe similarities and differences with other dance styles. 100% of participants will choreograph a work that is in response to the production Balacobaco. Participants will be observed in technique classes. Grading rubrics will be analyzed for participants' choreography and written artist statements.
100% of the students embodied contemporary Afro-Brazilian dance and were able to describe similarities and differences with other dance styles with which they were familiar. Each student choreographed and performed a work in response to Contempo’s production of Balacobaco.
