Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

300 youth and 12 educators will gain increased skills in the visual arts as they learn about environmental challenges migratory insects and birds face. Youth will gain confidence in their ability to express themselves creatively and present their art work in a public forum. The project will be evaluated through participant count, participant surveys, and a post-presentation feedback meeting with teachers and artists.

Measurable Outcome(s)

360 elementary students at 4 schools created quality art work that demonstrated artistic skill, environmental knowledge, and/or cultural understanding, and 13 classroom teachers expanded instructional strategies for linking art, ecology, and culture through resources and experiences provided by artists and a naturalist.
