ACHF Arts Education
We expect to present 13 weekly programs to an audience of at least 2,500 youth and adults on Tuesday mornings from June 3 to August 26, 2014 by the following organizations and artists: MacPhail Center for Music, Open Eye Figure Theatre, Shakespearience, Women's Drum Center, Dodge Nature Center, Jack Pearson, Science Museum of Minnesota, Nothando Zulu, Flying Foot Forum, Jawaahir Dance Company, Zeigeist, Train Songs, Teatro Del Pueblo. We also expect the participants to have an engaging experience and learn basic concepts of music, movement and performance and develop skills to express themselves through singing, dancing, telling stories.We will use the following objective methods to evaluate this program including attendance figures, audience surveys, and artist evaluations. Staff members will also monitor participants’ responses to the programs and engagement in the hands-on activities.
Nearly 2,500 youth and adults were engaged in learning basic concepts of music, movement and performance, and developed skills to express themselves through singing, dancing, and storytelling.
