Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Artist mentors will help middle school students deepen their artistic skills and expression in one of five arts disciplines, while high school interns develop leadership skills through peer-learning opportunities. Pre and post student surveys, daily debrief sessions with participants and artist mentors, and a parent evaluation at completion of the program.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Sixty-five middle school students from communities lacking access to arts opportunities learned new skills in five arts disciplines and evaluation results indicated an increase in student confidence and empowerment, and the community of 265 people attending public presentations saw how individual creative expression affected the students.
