To empower middle school students through the arts by providing them with basic training in their chosen disciplines, giving them the tools to support the need to create original works of art, and helping them perform or present these creations to the community.Student pre-and post-program evaluations; weekly debriefings among artist mentors, program directors and teaching assistants.

Students achieved learning goals in each artistic area; diversity of North Minneapolis community was reflected in participants; students grew in confidence and artistic expression.
