The outreach educational program, Tap-it's Academic, will visit Lucy Laney School in Minneapolis, introducing tap dance to disadvantaged students using math, reading, and music concepts while teaching American history through the eyes of tap dance.

1) 40 students received tap lessons who otherwise would not have an opportunity. 2) In addition to attendance records, students began to demonstrate knowledge of how to take a dance class, practice self-discipline, and demonstrate impulse control, team work and the ability to transition quickly between activities. We provided physical engagement, an important part of daily activity. Skill sets in math, literature and dance were also evaluated by creating "exit slips" according to school's protocol to docume
