- To build the Iron Range professional film community by preparing our participants to work on professional sets, giving them an opportunity beyond the classroom setting. After FILM SEEN, they will have the skills necessary to work as a Production Assistant (PA) in multiple areas of the film industry. To successfully complete the short film, ?I and Me,? at a high level of artistry and professionalism that gives participants the opportunity to experience filmmaking at its best. - To support artistic and economic development in underrepresented communities like the Iron Range. - To engage the Iron Range community by casting actors, working with local businesses and artists in the process. - To screen the film at the Minnesota Discovery Center for the Iron Range community for an audience of 100. - FILM SEEN participants will be surveyed upon completion of their shadowing and just before the public screening. They will be asked to give feedback about their experience, whether or not they would participate in FILM SEEN in the future, and the likelihood that they will pursue a career in the film industry. - A Q and A session will be conducted at the screening in which we will hear feedback from the community and give the participants a chance to discuss their experience of the program with the audience. There will also be an anonymous survey for the attendees to fill out with questions about the film, the program, and interest in a film industry in the Iron Range. - We will track attendance of the screening.
