The goals of the HHFC are as follows: -To support the film production workforce by providing a bridge from youth filmmaker to active working professional. A successful HHFC experience will provide participants with the skills to work as a Production Assistant (PA) or higher position on a professional film set. -To support up-and-coming filmmakers financially through the production funding that HHFC provides, honing their skills by mentoring a youth filmmaker, and providing them with the notoriety and promotion that comes along with a HHFC Production. -To support workforce development in underrepresented communities. -To actively work to diversify the film production and positions of creative leadership in film, through inclusive selection processes for professionals, inclusive recruitment processes for youth crew, and through, and through scholarship opportunities Desired outcome would include training future content creator workforce through direct hands-on work experience. Post camp experience of participants: Students will be surveyed about their experience at Horror High immediately after the camp and again just prior to the premier of the short film. They will be asked questions about the likelihood of attending film school, the likelihood of working on a professional set, and the likelihood of future participation in Horror High Film Camps. Outcomes will be measured based on the responses to the survey. 1. Repeat participants: -participants will be tracked and repeat campers tallied. 2. Short film success: -Screenings and awards will be tallied and posted on the EDU Film Festival/Horror High Web page 3. Industry participation - do participants go on to work on professional sets -Goal, 66% of participants participate in further film education or work on a professional set in the year following the completion of Horror High. -Goal, 50% of eligible participants chose to further their film education by repeating their Horror High Film Camp experience
