Project Details

Twin Cities Catalyst Music will work with the City of Burnsville, YMCA, and Burnsville-Eagan-Savage ISD 191 to offer Burnsville Made Music, a yearlong after-school recording, creative writing, and performance program for middle school students.

Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Participants write, record, and produce musical works in a professional recording studio while developing lifelong skills that demystify the work. Participants will submit 1-3 musical works for staff will review and evaluate based on pre-established criteria, and will test out on their ability to utilize equipment and technology to ensure they have gained a sufficient independent knowledge.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Minnesotans were able to develop songwriting, recording, and performance habits while expressing themselves through the creation of original music. Participants performed their original music for staff and peers, which was evaluated based on pre-established criteria. They were also tested on their ability to utilize equipment and technology through quizzes and various project-based assignments.
