Arts Experiences

Sarah Clark: Clark has had a 30-year career in the nonprofit sector and currently works as a consultant with Clark Squared, providing communications, development, and strategic planning services to purpose driven organizations. She worked at Fresh Energy for nine years, rising to deputy executive director where she oversaw programs, communications, and development. Previously, Clark served as the director of the Lower Phalen Creek Project and consulted with environmental nonprofits. Clark has a MA in journalism from the University of Minnesota and a BA in anthropology from Macalester College.; Darren Houser: Houser is an assistant professor of drawing and printmaking at University of Minnesota Duluth, serving on many academic committees. Sharing his artistic knowledge collaboratively, Houser is conducting transdisciplinary research on sustainability with the Anthropocene Research Collaborative and Lake Superior Living Labs Network in Duluth. He has reviewed Established Regional Artist grant applications for the Arrowhead Regional Arts Council. Houser exhibits his professional artwork regionally, nationally, and internationally. He graduated from Northern Illinois University (DeKalb, IL) with a MFA. ; Megan Krueger: Krueger is a senior grant officer at Hennepin Healthcare, securing federal, state, and foundation support. She has extensive experience working in development for a variety of nonprofits in the arts and human services. She graduated from Viterbo University (La Crosse, WI) with a BTA in theater and a BA in English literature. ; Stacy Phan: Phan is the director of operations for Bridges to Learning, a nonprofit focused on raising funds to educate and nourish severely impoverished children in Vietnam. In addition, she volunteers frequently with the Minnesota Dance Theatre, doing clerical work, costuming, and managing volunteers during productions. Previous roles include management and consulting in Fortune 500 corporations. She graduated with a bachelor of mechanical engineering degree from the University of Minnesota.; Jayne Rothschild: Rothschild is the executive director of Honors Choirs of Southeast Minnesota, a youth choir of five ensembles and about 300 singers. She graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College with a BA in organizational management. Previously a managing director at a promotion agency in Connecticut, her professional background is in marketing, special events, and promotions. She is the 2023 recipient of the Advocate for Choral Excellence (ACE) Award for Southeast Minnesota, given by the American Choral Directors Association of Minnesota. ; Patricia Schaber: Schaber has coowned and operated Curio Dance and School in Stillwater for a decade. She has been involved with the dance community as a patron of the arts and a former performer since 1975. She serves as chair for the nonprofit Curio Dance Company, engaging in grant writing and project management. Schaber has a PhD from the University of Minnesota and is a professor in the doctoral program in occupational therapy.
