Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

I'm a Grand Portage member and incidentally I've been Indian all my life. Connected spiritually, socially, politically and by blood. I embrace my heritage. My heritage embraces me. My grandfather's grandfather was born here in 1812. I walk the edge of the lake knowing my grandfathers have walked here before me. I continue the journey. As my grandmother's 40th grandchild I was nestled into a large Indian family and enveloped in the Indian community and politics. George Morrison, my father was an artist and major player in the American Indian Movement (AIM). I too was there and participated. In my spiritual journey the medicine man dreamt my name: Bey-komi-gaabo (Spirit By The Edge Of The Lake). I am Fish Clan. I love the pow-wows, feasts, community events and other strenuous ceremonies. I am a Sun Dancer. I fast, sweat, dance, pierce. We dance for the pain of the people of the Earth. This ceremony and others are part of the story of the Anishinaabe people and part of my heritage. Goal: Draw images depicting the story Success: When I am satisfied with the images G: Trace images to create SVGs S: When the vector paths on the computer look like the drawings G: Import SVGs into HTML S: When I'm done formatting the SVG tags and they display in a browser G: Adapt color engine to image S: When the colors of the shapes change and their are no errors G: Add specific color features for image S: Design new event, code it and see if it worked with no errors G: Make sure program runs on browsers (debug) S: Sufficient testing occurs with no errors G: Deploy upload to my website (www.briandmorrison.com) S: If the piece can be accessed and viewed from any computer or mobile device G: Measure response S: Seeing number of hits by tracking the traffic on my website and number of views on social media; reading and responding to viewers comments and questions from data collected through social media and message responses.
