Plain and simply, John and I are both men of color and have a lengthy track record of working with folks from our community and of engaging in public events around music. Our attachments/work samples should further demonstrate our community connection. DanSan Creatives as a project partner will be tracking social media analytics through Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, and their website and email channels in order to measure engagement on each production that is publicly accessible. They use a service called Ditto music which is a professional distribution platform that professionally releases music to all public platforms and streaming services, and provides comprehensive analysis of download and demographic information per song. We will also conduct follow-up assessments with each individual artist of the seven in order to assess how the experience could be improved, what other needs they may have as independent creatives in this community, as well as survey their overall self-assessment of the outcomes stated above (i.e. confidence, sense of connection, understanding of the recording process, etc.).
