Park Rapids Lakes Area Arts Council seeks to expose visitors to art, artists, and the creative process and to educate the public about the art and culture that exists in the Park Rapids lakes area. Park Rapids Lakes Area Arts Council wants to celebrate, help market and increase exposure for area individual artists and to a lesser degree selected area performing artists and to build on the statewide exposure Art Leap received in 2011 as a Legacy Destination Weekend event.A survey will be mailed to all participating sites with self-addressed stamped envelope for return post. It asks participants to log their visitor totals and asks for comments and suggestions to improve the weekendÆs experience. Another survey will be available for visitors to comment on their experience and suggest improvements and to report on how they learned of Art Leap 2012 to help Park Rapids Lakes Area Arts Council target promotion dollars to the most effective communication tools.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Visitors who completed surveys discovered talented artists they were unaware of before the event and found studios to be hospitable and welcoming. Most of the artists were at least satisfied with sales of their work during Art Leap and appreciated the exp
