Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

This project will artistically enhance the Northfield community by creating a new art object on the most traveled street in the city. When people see sculpture downtown, it instills pride of place and visual beauty where there was once mere empty space. We measure success by videotaping most of the meetings and construction and helping participating students view public sculpture with a sense of pride and accomplishment.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Twelve students in grades 10-12 worked with a professional sculptor to learn about sculpture and design and created a medium-scale sculpture that is displayed downtown for one year, then will be moved to the high school.
