ACHF Cultural Heritage
As an arts organizer and freelance tech I have work extensively throughout the arts community. I am a co-founder and leader for The Embassy art collective. I host the Boubville light and music festival in my yard, this year we worked with 29 musical acts and 7 installation artists. I produced 9 episodes of the Embassy's Plaguestream series in which we worked with over 15 different musical acts. I have designed projections and/or operated tech at nearly every venue in Duluth including Zeitgeist, The Playhouse, The Depot, The DECC, and more. I am a member of the Magic Smelt Puppet Troupe, work regularly with Duluth All Souls Night, and worked as a projectionist for the Northern Film Alliance. Even amongst other artists, it takes time to find the weird ones. Jess Morgan has agreed to choose the performing artist for DH. They have been instrumental in organizing performances for lgbtq+ artists in Duluth. Jess's dedication and tenderness towards "the weird ones" is radically inspiring. The work will fundamentally be a success if we are able to livestream the performance of the chosen artist. Additional measurable outcomes will be the delivery of an uncompressed copy of the performance to the artist, the number of paid assistants that participate, the number of community leaders that were present or participated in the curation of the production, the viewership numbers of the stream, and the collection of survey responses from all participants. The survey will include questions such as "did you learn anything new during this experience", "was it delightful", and "how could the experience have been more beneficial for you".
