Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

The number of Minnesotans who are able to participate in the arts increases. The quality, types and number of arts opportunities in our region, and the organizations or venues that offer them increases. Real or perceived barriers to arts participation and arts access are identified and addressed. New relationships with members of groups that have traditionally been underserved by the arts or by the applicant organization are built. A board member will create the survey, distribute it, tally the results, and report back to the full board. We will distribute the survey to attendees of the musical and the art camp final show. In addition we will survey participants in the musical at th

Measurable Outcome(s)

We used both in-person and online surveys for participants. In-person options included a QR code for individuals to complete on a smart phone. We learned that our location is the greatest barrier for many of our participants, as we are a regional arts and culture center. Our efforts to expand outreach programs has been effective. We know there is a desire from the community to have more folk music incorporated in our line-up, and the upcoming performances schedules will include more of this genre. We know the majority of our participants find the quality of our programs to be excellent and the atmosphere of our organization welcoming and inclusive. We will continue to commit to these priorities next year. Our audiences were largely adults 41+ for these programs. We will continue to work towards growing a younger audience for live music performances and art gallery tours.
