Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

The number of Minnesotans who are able to participate in the arts increases. The quality, types and number of arts opportunities in our region, and the organizations or venues that offer them increases. Real or perceived barriers to arts participation and arts access are identified and addressed. New relationships with members of groups that have traditionally been underserved by the arts or by the applicant organization are built. The number of Minnesotans who are engaged in arts education and learning opportunities increases. The quality and types of arts education and learning opportunities in our region, and the organizations or venues that offer them increases. Real or perceived barriers to arts learning are identified and addressed. Our evaluation survey will be conducted through the La Grande Bande website and through paper forms. Participants of the program's activities, including masterclasses, outreach concerts, open rehearsal sessions, pre-concert talks, season concerts, will be invited to take the survey. The invitations to take the survey will be given verbally at the time of each event, directly in the program booklets, and through email communications. We will also provide printed surveys at each event.

Measurable Outcome(s)

We conducted a survey with the Minnesota State University, Mankato longitudinal study. Based on the concert survey and direct feedback, we believe the program continues to be effective and meaningful. We will continue to address the barriers that stigma creates by making personal invitations and asking the same of our ACT on Alzheimer's team members and others involved. We have had two new people join this summer who intend to continue in the fall.
