To preserve the Hmong culture; to teach the next generation about their heritage; to build a bridge between the different generations; to teach student’s self-esteem; to increase the communities’ awareness of Hmong arts.Evaluation forms distributed to artists and participants.
Measurable Outcome(s)
Traditional Hmong art forms were taught to 37 youth and some of their parents; 100% of attendees reported they would recommend the program; the youngest attendees experience traditional dance for the first time; some Hmong elders mentored the youth.
