Funds will assist Hubbard County Developmental Achievement Center artists learn new skills in ceramics and printing by exploring new techniques while developing relationships with local teaching artists.

As a result of this funding 20 adults with Intellectual developmental disabilities and pervasive mental illness will try new forms of artistic creation in ceramics and printing that will increase their knowledge and provide increases in fine motor skills, increase confidence in their artistic ability and fuel creativity. Allowing individuals to interact with new people, gain new skills that will allow them to create art to display and sell in the community. Evaluation method will include a worksheet that will be completed by the artist, volunteers and staff after each session to measure participation, new skills learned, socialization and any accommodations that need to be made to help each artist be successful. Programming staff will work with each participant to establish goals and they will be reviewed after the workshops to see what new ideas each participant has for their future programming. This will help drive future programming.
