Project Details

Funds will assist the City of Bemidji Parks and Recreation Department along with Bemidji Community Theater to host a Summer Theater Day Camp for youth.

Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

As a result of this program, youth participants in the summer theater day camp will experience increased performance skills and knowledge in theater arts through classes which will include dance, acting, singing, stagecraft, painting, script writing and stage combat. Evaluation methods include paper surveys administered at the beginning of camp to measure their knowledge and skill set in the campers. Evaluation methods also include a paper survey administered at the end of camp to measure what skills the campers learned at camp. The last evaluation method includes a follow up meeting administered after camp to measure the methods of teaching in the leadership staff.
