Funds will assist Headwaters Music and Arts to host a community book reading and related activities based on "One Goal: A coach, a Team, and a Game That Brought a Divided Town Together" written by award-winning author by Amy Bass.

As a result of this program, teens and adults in the Bemidji area will experience an increase in awareness of the value of cultural diversity and their understanding of the immigrant experience through reading Amy Bass' book One Goal, by attending a presentation or workshop by the author Evaluation methods include a written survey administered at the conclusion of a presentation by author Amy Bass to measure the change in awareness in Bemidji youth and adults. Evaluation will also include a follow up meeting with the author, Tricia Andrews and Marsh Muirhead at the conclusion of the project to reflect on the project's planning, delivery, and overall impact.
