As a result of this funding, audience members will experience a change in knowledge regarding the process of theater as it relates to Frank L. Baum's The Wizard of Oz through a Talk Back Event and through utilizing the pre-school packets in order to learn more about the life and times of the author and related information regarding the movie. As a result of this funding, cast and crew members will increase their acting and stage craft skills. Evaluation methods include a paper survey as part of the teacher packets each teacher receives on arrival to measure engagement by students in a live theater production. The survey will be mentioned during the curtain speech given by director Mary Knox-Johnson before the show starts and a follow up email will be sent to each teacher reminding them to complete and return the survey. Directions for the cast and crew group activity will occur during strike of the final show.
