The Bemidji Symphony will host Saxophonist Scott Sandberg for two rehearsals of special music in a jazz/swing style and then will perform a concert combining classical music with jazz/swing.

ACHF Arts Access
As a result of this program, participants will experience an increase in knowledge about jazz/big band style music and an increase in skills in performance techniques in that style through working with Dr. Scott Sandberg in rehearsals for a symphonic concert where he is the featured guest artist. The evaluation will include a four question paper survey administered following the event to measure changes in knowledge and skills relevant to a particular musical style in the musicians participating in the funded project.
