As a result of this program, the audience and cast will have an opportunity to increase knowledge and awareness of the the song-writing skills of the Gershwin brothers, especially as written for their musical, OF THEE I SING, a political spoof of American politics of the 1930's. Another outcome of this specific musical is to bring people together through the Gershwin sense of humor. The audience will be taught OF THEE I SING prior to the show and asked to sing along at the end of the show. Evaluation methods include audience discussion at the end of the production led by trained facilitator to collect audience comments and perceptions.
