Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

As a result of this program, pedestrians and park users may engage with the artist while the mural is being completed. Tourists and visitors who see the mural may inquire about other arts activities and gain awareness the community supports the arts. Downtown currently includes an art gallery, other businesses that feature artwork and book stores that invite authors for readings and book signings. Events at The Armory Arts and Events Center will add to arts activities downtown. Evaluation will include 3 questions asked of the mural artist and pedestrians while the mural is being painted. The project director and volunteers will record answers. The steering committee will assess comments they hear while the artist is working and after the mural is completed.
