Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

As a result of this funding, participants in the Workbench New Play Workshop will experience an increased facility in playwriting and greater knowledge of dramatic structure through their participation in a series of thoughtfully crafted exercises, designed to encourage risk taking and foster the development of their "voice" as a writer. Evaluation methods include paper and google surveys administered after the final performance to measure effectiveness of the Workbench's methods and philosophies upon the artistic growth and development of writing skills in workshop participants, as well as evaluation of the levels of interest and enthusiasm generated in the audiences that saw the performance. Final evaluations, in the form of interviews, will be made with the Project Planners evaluation overall effectiveness of the program.
