Project Details

ZTP, the newly branded zAmya Theater, will increase capacity to serve and reach new participants with disabilities experiencing homelessness through ExpandAble-a listen, learn, practice project that consists of a twelve-week creative series and training in creating inclusive experiences.

Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

zAmya artists and leaders gain knowledge and experience to include people with disabilities experiencing homelessness in performance and leadership. Artists/leaders will provide verbal and written feedback on training and their experience putting training into practice. We will establish a Board Access Committee to outline and monitor our standards and vision of inclusion. 2: More people with disabilities experiencing homelessness see themselves represented in theater arts and are more appropriately supported. zAmya will track participation rates of people with disabilities experiencing homelessness. We will collect comments in feedback circles and participant surveys. Facilitators will note informal comments and body language.

Measurable Outcome(s)

zAmya artists and leaders gained knowledge and experience to include people with disabilities experiencing homelessness in performance and leadership. Newly established Access Coordinator held multiple feedback session with board and troupe and updated troupe handbook and Board approved ADA plan. 2: 23 people with disabilities experiencing homelessness participated in theater activities and have access to ongoing engagement with zAmya. Collection of contact information and consistent follow up with new participants. One on one conversations, invitations and offers of support to continue joining online workshops.
