Upstream Arts will design and carry out new multidisciplinary arts programming for 60 adults with disabilities who are nonverbal and/or communicate in nontraditional ways, while expanding its relationship with three major disability organizations.

Upstream Arts will enrich and increase its capacity to connect to adults with disabilities who are nonverbal or communicate in nontraditional ways. Pre/post meetings with partners, and participant and partner organization evaluations will measure how Upstream Arts programming was responsive/aligned with the needs of the target population. 2: Adults with disabilities who are nonverbal or communicate in nontraditional ways will increase their creative expression and connection to the arts. Participant evaluations will demonstrate increased arts access, active participation, and expanded capacity for creative expression. Artwork created in the program (including paintings, dances, and songs) will contribute to this evaluation.
