ACHF Arts Access
Participants will feel represented as artists through exhibition efforts that connect them to valuable support systems. Participants will provide feedback (exit interviews) regarding their working relationships to In Progress which will then be reported on and incorporated into core organizational programming. 2: Participants will recognize themselves as accomplished artists that can use their artwork as a means to making meaningful connections with others. Participants will use arts criticism for self-assessment and growth (survey and rubric) that will be collected, synthesized, and reported on in alignment with state standards in the arts.
Participants increased their visibility and connection to valuable support systems through public exhibition and presentation activities. Formal observation using a rubric was used to assess both the quality of engagement and number of occurrences that took place during exhibit and presentation activities. 2: Participants gained confidence in their abilities as artists by engaging the local community in meaningful arts activities about Latinx identity. Participants provided exit interviews and journal reflections about their experiences presenting and engaging the broader public. They also provided written feedback about their experiences that will be incorporated into future programming.
