With reciprocal sharing and strategic programming, the Guthrie and Native partners will increase understanding of each other's work and communities. Key stakeholders will participate in facilitated workshops throughout the grant period to discuss barriers to participation in each other's work, listen to each other's goals and challenges, and determine the most effective collaborations. 2: Through fellowships, classes and workshops, the Guthrie will break down barriers to opportunities that have prevented participation. Fellows will be interviewed to assess their prospects. Pre- and post-class surveys will track participants' growth as artists and understanding of the field. Workshop participants will respond to prompts to gauge their learning.
Through intentional, responsive partnership, the Guthrie created a safe space for Native artists to learn theater in community and on their own terms. The Guthrie held regular check-ins with constituents and sent emailed surveys to the Native Advisory Group, fellows, mentors and students at the end of their respective programming. 2: Through fellowships, classes and workshops, the Guthrie broke down barriers to opportunities that have prevented participation.
