Project Details

East Metro Symphony Orchestra presents Symphonies for Seniors, a program designed to expand access for seniors to live classical music in the east metro area by performing orchestral concerts at seven senior residences and nursing homes.

Greater than 80% of attendees at EMSO's 'Symphonies for Seniors' performances indicate that the performance enriched their lives. Evaluations will be gathered three ways: 1. Direct communication with the audience by the conductor, 2. Written evaluations, and 3. Assessment of Senior Residence Community Program Director.

Measurable Outcome(s)

EMSO performances enriched the lives of residents at senior living residences by performing live classical and jazz music. Audience communication with the EMSO conductor indicated that the performances were well-received and appreciated. Communication with the program directors confirmed the positive impact of the live performances on the residents.
