Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Arts organizations build relationships with members of, or organizations that serve, groups that have traditionally been underserved by the arts or by the applicant organization. Real or perceived barriers to participation are identified and addressed. More Minnesotans are able to participate in the arts.

Measurable Outcome(s)

1) Leonardo's Basement provided five activities for students and adults from three Saint Paul Public Schools (Maxfield Magnet, Hamline, Galtier) all with over 90% of students living in low-income families. The events attracted 165 adults and 294 children, 50% more than projected. Each school utilized a slightly different tool for measuring attendance at events, including paper tickets, entry forms for prizes and distribution of gift bags. Leonardo's Basement counted attendees and recorded registration data for classes and workshops. 2) Leonardo's Basement provided five separate activities for children and the parents of children with special needs after meeting with representatives from nine organizations and eight families to plan programming. Classes and events attracted 28 adults and 72 young people. Calendar entries measured planning meetings and online registration for classes.
