Artists Engage Community
Funds will assist Janet Preus and a team of theatermakers to present public performances of "Water from Snow," a new musical set in a northern Minnesota to premier here with audiences whose lives have inspired the story.

ACHF Arts Access
After participating in, or attending this performance, women survivors of coercive control will feel less alone and have greater appreciation for the range and power of musical theater to offer hope and encouragement, connecting with others through dialog and song. Audience members could be inspired to audition for a future production, where they may find lasting, supportive relationships among the cast or crew. Audiences and participants will be invited to respond in writing to the evaluation questions made available at all performances, designed to give survivors of abuse the opportunity to share their feelings about the authenticity of the story and its characters. Talkbacks following selected performances will offer an open and free dicussion opportunity about all aspects of the show and the production with all audience members who wish to participate. Cast, directors and crew will be invited to offer their feedback about the experience, either in person, or in writen form.
