Upon completing this residency students should be able to identify mosaics as a form or art, be able to create a mosaic, and define specific mosaic terminology. All outcomes were achieved during Lisa's visit. Our school has 2 mosaic projects completed entirely by our 4th and 5th grade students. The imagery for the mosaics was inspired by a poem written by Twin Lakes Elementary students and Lisa. Throughout the process students reviewed mosaic terms and process. Then as an exit/wrap-up activity students were asked to give feedback to five questions. What did you learn about mosaics? What did you like best about mosaics? What did you learn about yourself? What would make mosaic week better? Is there anything else you want to say or ask? These questions opened up a dialog with each student to share their knowledge and personal artistic journey through the residency. Finally during our school's Arts Night, Lisa attend to describe the process to parents and present a slideshow. During her presentation Lisa had students repeat some key terms.
