Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

This seminar will be both a new learning experience and a review. Vida teaches a technique to the class and then also goes to each person individually. Each student will work on their piece. It maybe a vase or platter. Vida also covers design so the student understands how the most appealing outcome is achieved. She works with the individual so they are very happy about their completed piece. The proposed piece we will paint is a tall pitcher with deep pink lilies and a background of white and black velvet. There will also be gold add to finish. I believe the Prairie Porcelain Painters will increase their individual painting skills. Vida teaches a new technique of ?velvet' effect that is new to all of us. This is a huge leap forward for us. We all will reinforce our new knowledge with each other and each of us will change and increase our level of knowledge and confidence. I also believe as this beautiful finished piece is seen by the public, more people will want to try this art. At the end of the seminar a evaluation of the learning that occurred will document how people gained skills from this learning experience. ; The outcomes will be 1) increased knowledge of porcelain painting. 2) recruit more people interested in painting porcelain 3) a beautifully painted art project 4) a wonderful time painting. Each person will complete a beautifully hand painted piece. Vida does a survey of the class at completion to canvas everyone's satisfaction. The newspaper article will cover with both a story and pictures of the completed pieces. The artistic piece will be photographed for the local newspaper. We also have individual ?Facebook' pages where our individual pictures will be posted. There is both an evaluation by Vida and by the Prairie Porcelain Painters. This survey will be summarized for a appraisal of the success of this seminar. We will ask for everyone's satisfaction and suggestions for the future. ; Vida conducts a brief evaluation by paper questionnaire at the end of the seminar.
