Project Details

Tracy Rittmueller will conduct a 30-hour residency and facilitate a trauma-informed, healing writing workshop for a diverse cohort of 12 adults in the Greater St. Cloud area who want to develop or deepen a creative writing practice.

Core group participants will complete at least three finely crafted poems to present to their cohort, made from tools and techniques learned or strengthened by their participation in the workshop. Through this process of writing and sharing, steps of transformation can happen in peoples' lives. ; Group participants will complete at least three finely crafted poems to present to cohort. Through this process, steps of transformation can happen in peoples' lives. In a 90-minute collaborative creative session preparing for the community program, core group participants will name the new literary techniques they learned and applied in making their poems, and talk about the editorial and revision strategies that moved them from inspiration to finished work. Artist-in-Residence will take notes and prepare a narrative report, along with a packet of the students' work, for the organization to utilize in their evaluative reflection and action.; Participants will name the new techniques they learned and applied.
