Yeates will illustrate and exhibit two complete chapters of the nonfiction graphic novel, Violent Orders, Lawful Harm, a new work on the fraught histories and consequences of United States' law enforcement and policing.

ACHF Arts Access
Artist will develop skills by illustrating two chapters of long-form graphic novel. Completion of proposed work for graphic novel, culminating in exhibition featuring both artwork and printed, bound editions of completed chapters available for reading and distribution to audiences. 2: Audiences will learn about/become more comfortable with aspects of policing's difficult histories/impacts upon communities/the U.S. Community attendance of exhibition event, audience reception and participation within proposed panel discussion, and audience reception to completed content of graphic novel.
Artist developed skills by illustrating and printing a complete, 68 page, long-form graphic novel. Framed artwork and printed, bound editions of completed book were exhibited and available for reading during a public exhibition. 2: Audiences learned about/discussed further aspects of political policing histories/impacts upon communities within the U.S. Foot traffic attendance at exhibition was recorded and audience discussion/reception to graphic novel content was notedly positive/engaged during the public event.
