I will engage Minnesotans through the opportunity to view three newly created Nativity icons in the Ancient Byzantine style of Iconography. I will track the number of visitors to the gallery opening event as well as through the duration of the exhibit. 2: I will garner interest as an iconographer recognized for quality original work suitable for commissions. I will collect feedback from the exhibit and track any interest I have in future commissions as a result of the exhibit and the experience of Minnesotans who become aware of my iconography.
Symalla engaged Minnesotans through the opportunity to view three newly created Nativity Icon in the ancient Byzantine style of Iconography. Viewers at the opening event were physically counted and additional viewers during the remainder of the event were estimated. 2: Symalla garnered interest in herself as an iconographer of high quality work approachable for commissions. This is witnesses by the newspaper's interest in writing an article, roughly six people who privately contacted me to talk about my icons and the communications received about three new commissions.
