Stowell will create a body of new multifired ceramic sculpture to be shown at the Hutchinson Center for the Arts in August and early September 2020.

ACHF Arts Access
I will increase my skills through the creation of twenty or more multi-fired ceramic sculptures measuring twenty inches in at least one direction. A successful outcome will be the completion of twenty pieces, which will demonstrate technical and aesthetic growth. I will pursue critical feedback from colleagues evaluating success. 2: This new work will be shown at the Hutchinson Center for the Arts. At the opening I will engage with attendees and give a slide lecture. This outcome will be successful if viewers attend the show and find the work challenging. Attending openings and engaging audience questions is a satisfying aspect of my artistic practice.

Feedback came from other artists, former professors, Art Center Directors and from viewers. 2: Mic Stowell held a solo exhibition at the Hutchinson Center for the Arts, his work was exhibited at the SooVac Center for The Arts in Minneapolis. Stowell held a solo show at the Hutchinson Center for the Arts. He gave a slide talk on earlier work and took questions from viewers. Viewer questions indicated that they were interested in both technical and aesthetic aspects of the work.
