Artist will lead a writing workshop for Minnesota artists on experimental environmental writing at Silverwood Park. This outcome will be evaluated by number of participants and a follow-up survey given to workshop participants. 2: Artist will complete a book-length poetry manuscript on species loss. The manuscript will be submitted for book prizes, poems will be reviewed by professional poets and scholars at the Center for Extinction Studies.
Artist led a movement and writing workshop for community members on experimental environmental imagination at Lake Hiawatha. Participants developed and utilized a new method of viewing and engaging with the natural world and contemporary poetry. 2: Artist completed a book-length poetry manuscript on species loss. The collection, Animal Afterlife, won the 2021 Airlie Prize and will be published by Airlie Press demonstrating development in artistic practice.
