John-Mark Schlink will create a new body of work in printmaking to be exhibited at Concordia University with a coordinated artist talk and workshop. The exhibition, artist talk and studio workshop will be open to the general public as well as the communities of Concordia University and other educational facilities. The public activities will support the process of creating a new body of work. 2: John-Mark Schlink will use new techniques and methods to create a new series of prints and develop additional curricular strategies in teaching. My studio process will focus on expanding my approach to making prints. I will integrate laser, digital and collage techniques with intaglio and woodcut processes. I will apply those methods in class curriculum and the public workshop demonstration.
I created new prints that were exhibited at Concordia University with an opening reception. I installed my work in the gallery which was open to the public. A public opening reception was held at the gallery. The artist talk and workshop were cancelled due to the pandemic. 2: I created new work in printmaking using all of the techniques outlined in Outcome two and introduced the techniques in my teaching. The techniques used in creating my prints was conducted in my studio and class space at Hamline University (where I teach Printmaking). I introduced these techniques in my regular class curriculum.
