Artist Initiative
This project will allow Ramaswamy to innovate with choreographic methods, open new avenues to create work for nonBharatanatyam dancers and companies, and show the vast creative potential of an ancient, culturally rooted art form.

Gain experience creating group choreography on non-bharanatayam movers, allowing me to expand my generative methods/options. An open rehearsal and work-in-progress showing of the new piece, followed by a Q and A session with the artists. 2: Devise methods to welcome new and varied audiences to experience culturally specific work, and galvanize an increasingly diverse population. Through audience surveys and video/audio interviews of audience members after the public activities.
