Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

The artist will develop skills in organizing a concert series that introduces the artist's compositions to growing numbers of local audience members. The artist will assess the concert series' reach through ticket sales. A 20% increase in ticket sales across the 12-concert series will demonstrate a successful outcome, and will help ensure the series' sustainability beyond the grant period. 2: The artist will refine original compositions and push the boundaries of his improvisational approach through collaboration and live performance. A successful outcome will yield musical exploration through collaboration and performance, giving the artist deeper understanding of their artistic voice and original works. A personal recording device will capture performances for later study.

Measurable Outcome(s)

The artist will develop skills in organizing a concert series that introduces the artist's compositions to growing numbers of local audience members. In lieu of ticket sales, the artist observed audience numbers attached and unattached to specific guest artists and noted the remarkable diversity in audiences across the series' twelve concerts. 2: The artist will refine original compositions and push the boundaries of his improvisational approach through collaboration and live performance. The artist notes a deepening of his improvisation skills--including as applied to a wide array of music compositions introduced by guest artists--and a broader more flexible understanding of ways his pieces can be successfully interpreted by others.
