Nguyen will create poems for This War, My Body: A Poemoir that explores intersections of war and abuse and narrative for a children's book, Where Are You From? about a child of refugee parents in Minnesota.

Culturalresearch, the creation of poems/poetic prose for This War, My Body manuscript and writing/design of a children's book, Where Are You From? Primary source for Vietnamese American literature produced, i.e. production of poetic prose for This War, My Body and possible personal essay in response to cultural research. Completed narrative and pre-design of a 32-page children's picture book. 2: Raise visibility of Vietnamese refugee stories and elevate voices of immigrant communities in Minnesota in complex, intersectional and inclusive ways. Publication of poemoir and children's book. Number of interviews conducted and archived with refugee, immigrant and veteran community members. Conduct participant surveys at public programs and readings in collaboration with community organizations.
